WalkFM Office Manager

PURPOSE OF THE POSITION The Office Manager is responsible for creating experiences and being the first contact for donors, listeners, and underwriters.

SCOPE The Office Manger reports to the General Manager and facilitates billing and traffic along with donor care. 

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES

  1. Office Manager responsibilities

Main activities:

  • Answer all phone calls received to the office.
  • Handling and creating logs in Natural Log.
  • Mail/Post office and bank duties.

NON-ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES

  1. General office assistance

Main activities:

  • Attend Walk FM events and assist in selling merch.
  • Be in office from 8:30am to 5:00pm unless otherwise approved by GM
  • Be available for any station videos as needed
  1. Additional Production work

Main activities:

  • Voice spots for underwriting for WalkFM/PAR as requested
  • Voice holiday or special occasion greetings
  • Perform other related duties as required

Knowledge

The incumbent must possess knowledge in the following areas:

  • Knowledge of logs and billing programs and software
  • Knowledge of donor software
  • Knowledge of website and merch stock and availability
  • Knowledge of google drive programs (sheets, docs, etc)

Physical Demands

The Office Manager will spend long hours sitting and using office equipment and

computers, which can cause muscle strain. The Office Manager will also have to do

some lifting of supplies and materials from time to time.

Environmental Conditions

(The nature of adverse environmental conditions affecting the incumbent)

The incumbent is located in a busy, open area office. The incumbent is faced with constant

interruptions and must meet with others on a regular basis.

Sensory Demands

(The nature of demands on the incumbent’s senses)

The incumbent must spend long hours in intense concentration. The incumbent must also spend

long hours on the computer entering financial information during FC which requires attention to detail and high levels of accuracy.

Mental Demands

(Conditions that may lead to mental or emotional fatigue)

There are a number of deadlines associated with this position, which may cause significant stress.  The incumbent must also deal with a wide variety of people on various issues.
