Rhonda Lee created a small food pantry in her basement to help those in need during the pandemic. Rhonda says she has strived to find ways to give back to the community after others helped her when she lost everything in a flash flood in 1995.

Poppy's Coffee, Tea, and Remedies Poppy’s is a Christian coffee shop in Gallipolis, Ohio. Owner, Greg Hall wanted to create an atmosphere where people can come and enjoy great coffee and where he can tell people about his love for Jesus.  In March, Poppy's responded to the need and started a food pantry. Facing Hunger Foodbank Mission: help feed hungry people by distributing nutritious food and grocery products through our pantry/agency network. Facing Hunger envisions a future where no person in the service area goes hungry.  The Facing Hunger Foodbank provides nutritious canned, boxed, fresh, frozen, and prepared food to nearly 116,000 individuals yearly. They also work diligently to recover foods from restaurants and other food distributors through their "food and fund" drive so that no food is wasted.  Their service areas in West Virginia include Cabell, Boone Jackson, Kanawha, Lincoln, Logan, McDowell, Mason, Mingo, Putnam, Wayne, and Wyoming Counties. In Kentucky, Boyd, Greenup, Lawrence, and Martin Counties. In Ohio, they service Lawrence County.
