This week I sat with my son, Derek, who expressed his fear of not surviving this round of Chemo. He has survived for 2 years and again this year in June he had to start another round of Chemo while still waiting for his Bone Marrow Transplant to work. Today he starts round 2 of Chemo and after this round they will do a deep test of his Mitocrondrial DNA to see if the transplant is working fully yet. He said depending on what it shows, they will do round 3 of Chemo. He is afraid they'll say there is nothing else they can do. We know that God is greater than anything that Doctors can do as God has shown us previously by bringing him back from death. He said his goal for now is to make sure that his wife and son are going to be taken care of if something does happen to him. This has been a struggle for him since he has not been able to work since June of 2019. He is also facing a total hip replacement as the drugs he has had to take have weakened the bone in his hip and he is in constant pain from that now. This has been a long journey and you as prayer partners have been wonderful in holding him up. May God bless all who read this!
