WalkFM Listener Engagement Director

PURPOSE OF THE POSITION: The role of the Listener Engagement Director at Walk FM is a full time hands-on position by coordinating station promotions & events, Butterfly Hugs, tours and all other Listener Engagement activities.

SCOPE: The Listener Engagement Director reports to the General Manager and is responsible for overseeing all community involvement for Walk FM. This includes events, concerts, community impact events, and ensures that Walk FM is involved in the communities we serve.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Oversee the Butterfly Hugs Ministry and execution of the following . Main activities:
    • Coordinate Volunteers
    • Contact and supply hospitals with Butterfly Hugs
    • Order and maintain supplies
  • Oversee all Listener Engagement events, contests and activities. Main activities:
      • Setup rules and post contests
      • Coordinate details with venue for events and concert
      • Plan activities at event sites
  • Oversee all product, including ordering and keeping inventory Main activities:
        • Research ideas for product giveaways
        • Order and maintain inventory of all product
  • Oversee running the tent/booth, staff and volunteers at Walk FM events. Main activities:
    • Plan setup and stocking of tent/booth at all events
    • Oversee preparations and volunteers
  • Oversee vehicle preparation for each event including Main activities:
    • Fuel, clean, and load company vehicles with appropriate gear & supplies
  • Creating & Coordinating Walk FM events Main activities:
  • Explore venues optimal for station impact
  • Coordinate details with venue for events and concert
  • Coordinate and communicate station involvement and participation in events

1. Provide office support in order to ensure effective and efficient office operations Main activities:

  • Answer phones when needed

Physical Demands

The Listener Engagement Director will spend long hours sitting and using office equipment and computers, which can cause muscle strain. The Listener Engagement Director will also have to do some lifting of supplies and materials from time to time.

The incumbent is located in a busy, open area office. The incumbent is faced with constant interruptions and must meet with others on a regular basis.

Sensory Demands

(The nature of demands on the incumbent’s senses)

The incumbent must spend long hours in intense concentration. The incumbent must also spend long hours on the computer entering financial information during fundraisers which requires attention to detail and high levels of accuracy.

There are a number of deadlines associated with this position, which may cause significant stress. The incumbent must also deal with a wide variety of people on various issues.
