Have you ever lost a spouse, a child, family member, or friend? Then, you have probably found there are only a few people who understand the deep hurt you feel. Losing a job, a financial loss, and the loss of a family pet, can cause sizable grief for some. Grief can be a confusing time leaving a person to feel isolated and provide many questions about things they’ve never faced before. A grief support group using the resources of GriefShare is currently meeting in person weekly through November at the First Church of the Nazarene, located at 1110 First Avenue, Gallipolis, Ohio. Each GriefShare session has three distinct elements: video seminar from experts, support group discussion, and personal study with reflection. $20 offers the attendee a workbook with resources for the session and personal follow up tools on the weekly topic. If the $20 price tag could be a deterrent

12 week course starting September 12th for those struggling with trauma and their loved ones. Workbook and course are FREE

Celebration Recovery is a Biblically based, Christ centered, balanced program to help people recover from the hurts, hang-ups and habits that happen as we travel this life. Not designed only for those with substance use disorder, Celebrate Recovery is the place to be if the baggage of life is weighing you down. We need each other. Fellowship and accountability are two important components of spiritual growth. You will find both in this place. Light dinner at 6:15 for those participating, large group starts at 7:00. Child care is available for people attending groups.

Every Wednesday this Fall!! Team Kid is a program our church offers with classes for PreK all the way to 5th grade. Kids will learn to be disciples for Jesus. Classes meet at 5:45 and dismiss at 7pm. Kids will be learning about Jesus, making crafts, playing games and snacks will be provided. Bring a friend!!!
