HER Place provides women, children, and families a safe and nurturing environment that offers free access to peer support services and educational programs that empower women to overcome subtance use disorders. Peer Recovery Coaches at HER Place interact directly with women, both individually and in small groups, to fill the gaps in the continuum of care by providing pre-treatment outreach services and post-treatment peer support services necessary to sustain long-term recovery. The program also offers a 10-bed recovery home where women can live in supportive, sober housing as they work toward lasting recovery, rebuild relationships and begin working jobs in the community.
